This interactive training, taught by experienced professionals, is designed to promote a more effective response, investigation, and prosecution of domestic and interpersonal violence and Sexual Assault cases. Attendees will become more fully cognizant of the special dynamics surrounding such violence, lethality factors, safety considerations, and the importance of a coordinated approach among the professionals tasked with responding to and working with victims and abusers.  We want to make our communities safer, and recognize that working together is the key to making that happen.

Topics covered will include: Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Communicating with Victims,Advocacy, Protection Orders & Custodial Disputes, Strangulation, Documentation, Religious and Cultural Considerations, Victims, Abusers, EvidenceCollection, Testifying, Safety Considerations, Special Victims, Self-Care, Community Impact and Resources, Immigration and Crime, Prosecution, and Adjudication

This training is open to all Police, Fire/EMS, Dispatcher/Operator, Probation, Corrections, Healthcare, Advocates, Prosecutors,Judges, Magistrates and any agency or professional who works with domestic and interpersonal violence, and sexual assault victims and abusers, FREE of charge.
